I've been painting for several years. I’m fortunate to live in a place that is both enriching and stimulating in terms of my colour perceptions.

Inspired by a number of impressionist, contemporary and pop artists, my genre is abstract expressionism. Oils are my preferred medium, using canvas as well as other surfaces as a base to create my work.

I like to experiment with the relationships of colour, whether complimentary or at first glance discordant. This manifests in blending the paint unordered but nonetheless harmoniously rather than flat single colours.

Colour dictates the composition and outcome of the final piece. Building layers to accentuate dimension and bring life to the painting whilst using large canvas or surfaces allows me to create visually impacting and tactile works.
